LaVonne Reimer is an innovator and advocate for “rehumanizing” technologies. Most recently, she created a platform driving open and ethical data governance and AI in small business credit. As a former lawyer and ethics professor who also has hands-on experience bringing technologies to market, LaVonne is interested in how women worldwide gain greater access to the economy through systems that empower rather than exploit them. Earlier, she founded the first EdTech company to offer branded, accredited degrees online with graduate schools such as NYU Stern School, London School of Economics, and UT Austin. From there, she led a program to foster global entrepreneurship with Open Source Development Labs (Linux), IBM, and Intel. LaVonne is a Member and Elder of Fort Washington Collegiate Church and also serves on the Board of Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra.
